Coming from Pocket

Bring your Pocket library to Stash

Pocket shut down in July 2025. If you never exported before it went dark, your saved list may be gone, but if you have the export file, Stash reads it directly: same tags, same list, no re-saving one link at a time.

Three steps

  1. Export from PocketIf you still have access to getpocket.com/export, download the .html or .csv file. (If Pocket is fully gone for you, check Downloads for a file you saved earlier.)
  2. Open Stash → Settings → "Coming from Pocket?"Click Import from Pocket and choose that file.
  3. ReadEvery saved link lands on your shelf with its tags and read/archived state. Article text fills in the moment you open each one.

What carries over: URL, title, tags, saved date, and unread/archived status.

What doesn't: Pocket's export never included full article text either: Stash re-fetches and cleans each article the first time you open it, same as Pocket did.

Why people are switching

No account, no subscription: $9.99 once, after a 14-day trial. Full-text search, highlights, offline reading, and private end-to-end encrypted sync across your devices. And if you ever want to leave Stash too: one-click export, including a plain HTML file that opens in any browser forever: see how.
